About the Author

Katherine Gibson, M.Ed., is a bestselling author and today’s most knowledgeable authority on Ted Harrison. Her fascination with Harrison began in 1986, the release-year for the perennial bestseller, The Cremation of Sam McGee, which he illustrated.
Ms. Gibson has an intimate understanding of Mr. Harrison. She has walked the streets of the English village in which he was born, experienced the northern wilderness that seduced him, and ventured up the Yukon River to explore the landscape that became his muse. After four years of interviews and uncensored access to his private art collection, papers, and diaries she is delighted to share her understanding of this iconic artist.
